FALLING

Falling Stars by photographer Brian Moore is a visual tribute to a disappearing piece of San Francisco history. On January 24, 2026, Moore joined a small group of artists granted rare access to Hunters Point Shipyard to tour Parcel G for one final time before demolition began. It was a last opportunity to walk the quiet industrial corridors, documenting the buildings, textures, and atmosphere of a place shaped by decades of history.

The photographs in Falling Stars honor six Parcel G buildings slated for demolition—Buildings 351, 351A, 366, 401, 411, and 439—capturing them not just as structures, but also as monuments to the industry and stories that once filled their walls. Through light, shadow, and scale, the images preserve the spirit of the shipyard at the moment just before it disappears.

This book serves as both an artistic record and a historical document—preserving Parcel G through photography so that even after demolition, the buildings and their stories remain.
